Today’s expression is: “the whole time”
the whole time
就是 “整段时间” 也就是 “一直” 的意思，一般用来描述在过去一段时间的情况
We use this expression to talk about something that happened, or was true for a long period in the past.
For example:
How was your holiday?
你的假期怎么样？
It was OK - but it rained the whole time we were there.
还行，不过我们在那里的那段时间一直都在下雨
Did you find your keys?
你找到你的钥匙了吗？
Yes, they were in my bag the whole time!
找到了，一直在我的包里!
