Long, long ago there were two brothers.
The big brother was Sun.
The little brother was Moon.
They loved to run across the sky
很久很久以前，有两兄弟。

When Sun ran across the sky,
The Earth was warm.
When Moon ran across the sky,
The Earth was cool.
The people were very happy.

But Sun grew bigger and bigger
After a while, he was so big that he filled the sky.
“Make room for me!”said Moon to sun.
“No.” said Sun.“Why should I make room for you?”The people love me.”

月亮对太阳说：“给我留点空间！”

Sun shone and shone.
The land got hotter and hotter.
Soon the people were hot and tired.
“We miss the cool moon.” they said.

Moon was small but he was clever.
“Big Brother,” Moon called.

Sun looked down at the dry, hot Earth. He saw no one.
“You see, no one loves you.” said Moon.
“Go away!” said Sun.
“Make me!”said Moon.
Then, with an angry roar, Sun chased Moon across the sky.
太阳低头看着干旱炙热的地球。
他没看到一个人。
月亮说：“看，没有人爱你了。”
太阳恼怒了：“走开”
月亮说：“你试一试！”
然后，太阳一边怒吼着，一边在天空中追赶月亮。
As Sun went down, Moon came up. The people came out of their houses.
“At last, the cool night is here!” they said.
当太阳落下去后，月亮就升起来了。
人们从他们的房子里出来了。
人们说：“太好了！终于又迎来凉爽的夜晚了。”
Sun and Moon are still chasing each other across the sky. When Sun goes down moon comes up.
Sun brings day and Moon brings night.
太阳和月亮还在天空中追逐着。
太阳落下去，月亮就升起来。
太阳带来白昼，月亮带来夜晚。
