介绍:
Task 4 Scatter Hoarding refers to the action that animals store food in different place when it is plentiful and then recover it when it is scarce. According to the professor, this phenomenon is very common in places cold in winter, northeast part of the United States for example. There is a kind of squirrel which loves nuts, also a primary source of their food. In autumn, when nuts lie all over the place, the squirrel finds enough of them and prepare them for reservation. He takes of their outer shell to make it easy to preserve and for him to eat later. Then he digs hundreds of holes and buries them separately, like one nut in one hole. The primary reason is that even if some animals find some of the holes and take away some nuts, he may still have plenty enough to eat in the winter. This is the action of Scatter Hoarding.
