In the reading passage, a student suggested the university have all those construction projects take place during summer, when there is no students and the weather is great. The woman in the listening material totally agree with this proposal for the following reasons. First, those small construction projects cause students a lot of trouble. For example, she drives to school every day, however, the school decided to repair some parking lots last December. Then there were four parking lots closed, and the women had to park her car in the streets and walk to her classes. A lot of people, including professors, were late for classes, for the same reason. And last year, during this project, there was a big snow storm, and the project always had to stop for 1 or 2 weeks. These stopping and starting things took them longer to finish. But if the university had conducted the project in summer, there wouldn’t have been all these troubles. Therefore, she was all for the proposal.
