介绍:
初中英语语境词汇:绝处逢生第五章 台词: It is the same train that Frosty and I got on this morning! Watching the news, we don't know what to say. We realize we were so close to death. Fourteen state police cars or so are on the scene. Police officers are busy helping passengers get off the train and stay away from the tracks. While looking after people, the police check the scene for any signs of criminal activities. Mum left me a message just now. She probably heard the news and got worried. I call Mum back. I tell her that we are safe and we are sitting together in a Japanese cafe for lunch now. Mum asks us to come home before dinner time. Then, in the news, a senior inspector from the Office of Public Safety says that the railway signalling was not working right and it might cause the major accident. "What was he talking about? How could such a thing happen?" I ask, "How many people were killed?" "It is not known yet, but the news said more than fifty passengers got hurt. It is truly the worst news I have heard," says Frosty. I drink my water and put up my hand. The waiter comes over and pours more ice water into my glass. I then ask him when our food should be ready. The waiter walks away without answering my question as if he didn't hear me. "The waiter seemed to have a sudden change of manners. He was very nice a moment ago, but he now doesn't look friendly," Frosty says, watching the ice sink to the bottom of my water glass. The waiter is taking some dishes away from a table. Frosty then hears a strange voice again, "Thirteen eighteen Moscow Street. Mr.Gamer." Coming out of the washroom, the waiter has changed his clothes. He leaves the restaurant in a hurry, covering his face with one hand. "The waiter just left. I know waiters usually work part-time, but he hasn't finished serving us yet. It doesn't seem normal unless…" Frosty says while she looks at the menu again. Then she sees the cafe's address—1318 Moscow Street. Frosty says quickly to me, "We have to go." I follow Frosty, running out of the cafe. After we are several hundred metres away, we turn back to look at the cafe. "What else can happen?" I say. Oh my God! Like a rocket, a private aeroplane is crashing into the cafe building right now. I feel the ground is shaking as a huge earthquake hits. The cafe is on fire. The plane is burning. Thick smoke rises from its tail. Losing our words, Frosty and I look at it in horror. The scene looks like a war movie or a thriller!
