To be honest, I am not a idolater. So whenever someone asks me who is my favorite idol, I usually tell him/her that I don’t have the idol who I really like, but I have someone I really appreciate, that is Nick Vujicic. When I was in junior high school, one day I accidentally saw a speech video about him on Facebook. After I saw his speech video, I really admire him. He is a motivational speaker. He was born with tetra-amelia without fully formed limbs and has two small and deformed feet, one of which he calls it "chicken drumstick" because of its shape. When he was at school, Nick was often ridiculed by others because of his eccentric appearance. Desperate, he even considered suicide. But Nick’s suicide attempt was unsuccessful. From the age of 17, Nick began to speak at schools and church-initiated gatherings about his pain and his refusal to yield to fate. The reason I admire him very much is because he is very optimistic. In the speech, he poured out on the table in countless times and showed everyone in the audience how to stand up without a foot. If he can't does it once, the second time, the third time... until the body stands hard. He uses his life experience to make people understand that the most important thing to achieve a dream is to persevere and embrace failure, and to regard failure as an opportunity to learn, rather than being defeated by the fear of failure. He said:“Even if fail, i will try again and again. because i decided to give up of that a moment, is the true failure.” This sentence is basically my motto. This sentence has accompanied me many times of despair. He said a lot of inspiring words, and he was very admirable. Someone asked me that do you think children should imitate their idols?
I think it depends on the advantage or the shortcoming of the idols they imitate. If they imitate the idol who is very polite, then they will also become polite. But if they imitate their shortcomings, such as the impoliteness of the idol, it will affect them to become rude.
