What is a consonant? I’m glad you ask. Just listen to the song, and you’ll learn about that. Consonants are letters that make different sounds. Let’s learn them all together as we gather around. So, everybody get ready, here’s what we’ll do, we’ll go from J to R and then review. J J is a consonant. What sound is it make? It goes j-j-j, like jacket or Jade. Can you think of other J words? Yes, I can. Joke and Jolly and Juggle and Jet. K K is a cosonant, it sounds like this, it goes k-k-k, like kitty and kiss. Can you think of other K words? Yes,surely. Kangaroo and Kitchen and Kid and Key. L L is a consonant, what sound is it make? It goes l-l-l, like lap and leg. Can you think of other L words? Yes, I can. Lucky and Letter and Lemon and Lamb. M M is a cosonant, it sounds like this, it goes m-m-m, like meow and miss. Can you think of other words that have the M sound? Macaroni and Monster and  magic and mouth.
