8. What's Your Favorite Season?

What's Your Favorite Season? It's a rainy spring day. Piglet decides to clean his closet. He opens the door. Everything falls out! Tigger, Roo, and Winnie the Pooh arrive. "Hello, Piglet," says Winnie. "What are you doing today?" "I'm cleaning my closet," Piglet replies. "That's one big mess!" says Winnie. Tigger picks up a beach ball. "I remember this," he says. "We play with it in the summer." "The skate is for the winter!" says Roo. Piglet makes four boxes. There is one for each season. "I can sort everything by season," Piglet says. His friends want to help. Tigger throws the beach ball into the summer box. Winnie adds a tube for floating in the water. "I love summer," Piglet says. "Because it's warm enough to eat outside." "Yes," Roo says. "You can pick berries in the summer, too." "I like to float in the pond," Winnie says. Rabbit knocks on the door. He is cold and wet. "We're thinking about summer things," Tigger says. "Like when we all sit in Piglet's hammock." "It's fun when we all fall out," Roo laughs. Rabbit steps into Piglet's basket. Then he steps on Piglet's rake! "These go in the fall box," he says. "I don't like to rake leaves in the fall," Rabbit says. "Each time I finish, more leaves fall down!" "But the leaves are such pretty colors," Winnie says. "I like windy fall days," says Winnie. "I like to fly kites!" says Roo. "All I do is rake," says Rabbit. "You do fun things, too," Roo tells him. "You make the best pumpkin pie." "I like Rabbit's hot apple cider," Piglet says. "It tastes great on cold winter days." "Winter is fun, too," says Roo. "We build snowmen and ride sleighs." "But we also have to shovel snow," Rabbit says. Rabbit puts Piglet's shovel in the winter box. Winnie takes Piglet's purple scarf from Tigger's neck. Tigger spins around and around. "Here's your other skate, Piglet,"says Roo. "Oh, good," says Piglet. "Two skates are more fun than one." "My favorite season is spring," Rabbit says. "That's when I plant my garden." "Okay," Winnie says. "Let's put Piglet's garden tools in the spring box." "I want the rain to stop," says Piglet. "Then I can put up my birdhouse. Small spring birds can build a nest there. "I want to swing on the tree," says Roo. "I can push you," says Tigger. Piglet looks around his house. Everything is in the boxes. "Thank you, everybody," he says. "I'm glad there are four seasons," says Roo. "We can have fun all year long!"
