Yoan Zhang：MengertiMu

Single Introduction: “MengertiMu” (or “Understanding You” in English) is an Indonesian song composed by Maria Stefanie, which represents human’s feeling in general to God. Here we are invited to look back on our fear and reluctance when we ask God because we believe that He will not grant our prayers, or it takes too long to respond, or the answers will be often disappointing. There is a resentment but there is also a sense of believing at the same time that God must be doing something right. We ask God to teach us deeply about His language and His plans, so we understand more that His answer doesn’t always come in a beautiful rainbow. Yoan Zhang (known as Yoan) is an Indonesian talented singer and song-writer. She has been singing since early age and takes part mostly in church services, religious communities and some occasional events. Her remarkable performance has led her to a greater show such as Unlimited Worship Conference Concert in 2017 - as a religious celebration for the worshipper community in Jakarta. Here she sang a song composed by herself “MenyembahMu” (translate: Worship You). She got married to a talented musician and arranger, Michale Affandie, and has been collaborating in many music projects ever since. In this occasion, Yoan has shown her gratefulness to have the chance to sing “MengertiMu”, as her second single in the gospel music industry.
