Ukraine, Russia, the United States and the European Union have reached a deal to de-escalate tensions in Ukraine.
The agreement comes after diplomats went through seven hours of negotiation in Geneva, Switzerland.

"We welcome that we managed to agree the language with our partners on the importance of rejecting and combating the extremism, terrorism, intolerance and xenophobia. The next couple of days will be crucial since they will require from all the parties sincere efforts to put into practice their formulas that have been so carefully elaborated throughout the day."
The deal will also give amnesty to protesters who comply with the demands of disarming, except those found guilty of capital crimes.
In return, additional economic sanctions the U.S. and EU have prepared to impose on Russia will be put on hold.
President Vladimir Putin said during a televised call-in program that trust between Russia and the United States had been damaged before the crisis in Ukraine.
"To a large extent the trust in U.S. ties is lost. Why is this happening? We believe we are not to blame. Why? Because those double standard approaches always disappoint us. It is not that it ended now because of Crimea. I think it ended before that, it ended immediately after events in Libya. "
Putin said to improve ties, the United States should respect others' interests and international law.
