ostrich 鸵鸟 The ostrich is a large bird that cannot fly, but it can run very fast. According to a story ，an ostrich， when hunted ，run a distance and then buried its head in the sand. It thought it could not be seen because it could not see. Some people are ostrich-like. when they have troubles, they bury their heads in the sand, pretending not to see the troubles.Aren't such people stupid？ The ostrich has a strange habit. It often is hard objects such as small stones. So if a person has a very good digestion, we can say he has an ostrich-stomach. 鸵鸟是一种不能飞的巨鸟，不过它跑得很快。据故事上说，鸵鸟被追猎的时候，跑上一段路程之后，便把头埋进沙子里，它以为他看不见人家，人家也就看不见他。有些人活像鸵鸟，他们遇到麻烦就把头埋进沙子里，装作看不见，这样的人不是很蠢的吗？ 鸵鸟有一个奇怪的习惯，常常吃些像小石子之类的硬物，因此如果一个人消化力强，我们就可以说他有鸵鸟般的胃口。
