Heads bent towards a device, fingers dancing across the screen, theses gamers are competing in a group contest of the popular mobile phone game called "Tower of Saviors".
The game was devised by a developer from Hong Kong and is one of the top downloaded mobile phone games in Asia. But if driving a GT car is your thing, the Grand Turismo 6 or GT6 driving simulator, powered by Play Station, will offer you a super car experience.
Equipped with compatible steering controllers and accessories by Logitech, the driving simulator allows you to try out 1,200 cars and in over 76 driving courses.
Wang Chen a games demonstrator is on hand to show gamers the experience.
"This year at the exhibition, we have this driving game called GT 6 equipped with a simulated driving wheel and the design of the race car. Players who come here can play and experience the real feeling of driving. We have an accelerator pedal, and a wheel to real control. Players can also select real cars and real driving tracks to drive in. You can see that we have two real cars on the show today. Players can select these types of cars in the computer game to drive them as well."
Sony's Play Station is the star of the show promoting the newly released PS4, with a more powerful motion sensor and processor.
PS4 also made playing games more social, allowing players to share via live broadcasting, allowing you to stream your screen online so others can see what you are playing.
Several gadget makers are also here to present their latest gaming accessories.
A gaming accessory maker, Thermaltake, has been working in collaboration with the BMW design team and has developed a sleek new design for the humble computer mouse.
The team says the design of "Level M Hybrid Mouse" suits a serious gamer, as the aluminium casing gives users a solid feeling, and the adjustable height and angle means it's comfortable to use.
Retailing at around 100 USD, the level M mouse is also a hit among graphic designers according to Jeff Chang of Thermaltake.
"The mouse is designed with BMW. And it looks very solid and it fits very well in the hands, with the ergonomics. It's perfect for both gamers and designers. Lots of designers like to use it just because the geometry is of it is very beautiful. They saw it and take a liking to of it. For the gamers, the mouse has different profiles and macros you can program. And you instantly switch between the Z button on the side so it's good for gamers that play a lot of games with, from FPS (First-Person Shooter), MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) to mobile games".
According to the show's organisers, the annual market value of the gaming industry in Taiwan is at 1.3 Billion USD with an estimated annual growth of 3 per cent.
