The second season of House of Cards is set for release next week.
When it first aired House of Cards helped put Netflix viewing on the map. It earned nine Primetime Emmy Award nominations and four Golden Globe Awards and proved to be a real game changer.
The show, about a ruthless politician named Frank Underwood -- played by Kevin Spacey-- and his wife Claire-- played by Robin Wright -- is adapted from a BBC miniseries of the same name.
Last year the conversation was more about the show airing on Netflix with all the episodes in a season posted at once. This time, the focus is on the show's caliber of acting and quality writing.
"I think that all of us love the idea that as we move into the second season it's about the show. It's about the story we're telling, the characters we're playing, the ways in which we want to illuminate this particular world that mirrors a real world but is its own made up world and I'd be delighted that people focus on the show."
"House of Cards" season two will be posted to Netflix on Friday, Feb. 14. It's already been renewed for a third season.
