介绍:
(Ambience: welcome on board) After having a nice lunch in Ushuaia, a city at the end of world, I'm finally on board. The ship we take this time is called Silver Explorer, which is an expedition ship currently operated by Silversea Cruises. It was named Prince Albert II to pay tribute to Prince Albert II of Monaco and renamed Silver Explorer in 2011 in order to align with the fleet's other vessels which all have the word Silver in their names. It's been designed specifically for navigating waters in some of the world's most remote destinations. In summer she cruises in the Arctic Circle, while during the northern hemisphere autumn and winter, she cruises off South America and Antarctica. Silver Explorer is a 1A ice-rated vessel. She carries 132 passengers with 66 cabins and 120 crew members. So every cabin has a butler. Ari is my cabin's butler. (Ari) Ari told me that Silver Explorer almost has everything on it. (Ari2) After settling down, the first thing every passenger has to do is to go to the lecture theatre attending safety & lifeboat briefing and drill. Here is the expedition leader. (Expedition Leader) Keep in mind the general emergency signal is 7 short blasts followed by 1 long blast. When you hear such signal, it means an emergency occurs. Here are some general safety tips given by the expedition leader. (Tips) After the safety drill, we're ready to sail. (music) We had a sailing party on the deck. It's also a good opportunity for passengers to get to know each other. From the moment we sailed and waved goodbye to Ushuaia, our expedition really started.
