【新闻】Last member of Sound of Music family dies

(Sound of Music) The last surviving member of the von Trapp Family Singers who inspired the hit Musical "A Sound of Music' has died at the age of 99. Maria von Trapp died at her home in Vermont in the US. The musical tells the story of a young woman who leaves an Austrian convent to become a governess to the seven children of a naval officer widower George von Trapp. Maria was the second eldest daughter of Captain von Trapp and it was actually her poor health that led to George von Trapp bringing in the governess to teach her and her siblings. After the events seen in the film the family moved to the US after visiting during a singing tour. They opened a lodge in the town of Stowe in Vermont that the family still run to this day.
