Chinese actress Fu Yiwei has been detained by the Beijing police on charges of drugs, according to a report from Beijing News' microblog account.
The 51-year-old actress was arrested for providing shelter for others to take narcotic drugs.
Fu is the latest in a series of drug abuse cases that have involved big names in domestic entertainment industry.
Fu Yiwei rose to fame in 1990, for her role as Daji in the television series, The Investiture of the Gods.
She has won Best Actress at the first China Film Association Awards.
More details concerning the investigation are still unclear.
