Old mother Hubbard had a little lovely dog. She called her dog, Gerald. Mother Hubbard and Gerald lived a quiet and peaceful life. Every day mother Hubbard gave Gerald a bone. Gerald loved biting and chewing bones very much. One day, mother Hubbard went to the cupboard to get a bone to Gerald. But to her surprise, there was no bones in the cupboard. “Oh, I forgot to buy some bones! What a pity!” said Mother Hubbard. Poor Gerald looked at mother Hubbard, feeling a bit sad. He had no bones today. Mother Hubbard looked at her dog. “Sorry, my dear. There’s no more bones left now, It’s getting late today to do some shopping. Don’t worry, I will buy some bones for you tomorrow.”
On that evening. mother laid in her bed, she heard noises from Gerald. “Poor little Gerald, I do remember to buy bones for him tomorrow,”said mother Gerald to herself. Then she felt asleep soon. Bang—bang—bang. Suddenly there came loud bangs. Mother Hubbard opened her eyes.
You know what she saw？Dog hones were pouring down from the sky. “what a surprise” “What a joy! ”said Mother Hubbard. She jumped out of the bed. Then she gathered all these bones and put them in the cupboard. “Come here, Gerald”, called mother Hubbard. “Come and have a bone”. To her delight, Gerald took a bite of the bone, feeling very happy.
