China's domestically made animations have been quickly catching up with their US and Japanese counterparts in the past decade. Several acclaimed series have become cultural phenomenons in an industry that has long been dominated by imported content. Also a large number of well-educated and well-trained animation specialists have introduced modern techniques and expressions based on traditional Chinese cultural elements.
