The Spring Festival The most important festival in China is the Spring Festival .It falls on the last day of lunar year and lasts until the Lantern Festival .On the New Year’s Eve ,people usually cook lots of good dishes .Then the whole family sits around the table ,feasting and welcoming the first day of the new year. When the clock strikes twelve at midnight, people greet one another with “Happy New Year” and go out into the open to watch all kinds of fireworks glittering everywhere in the dark sky .Parents usually put a small red paper packet under their child’s pillow, Inside the packet is some money .That means the child is already one year older .In China people call this “Ya- Sui- Qian ”. On the first day of the New Year, people go to visit their parents, relatives and friends .Some young couples get married on that day, too .The Spring Festival lasts half a month until the Lantern Festival comes. 春节 在中国最重要的节日时春节。春节从阴历年的最后一天开始，一直持续到元宵节。在大年夜，人们常常做很多好吃的。然后全家围坐在桌旁吃团圆饭，迎接新年第一天的到来。 当午夜十二点的钟声敲响时，人们相互祝福“新年好”，到外面去看夜空中绚烂多彩的烟火。父母常常在孩子的枕头底下放一个小红包，里面放着钱。那意味着孩子又长大了一岁，在中国人们把这叫“压岁钱”。
