We sit together next to a window and open the book again, but this time we are more prepared. The blue eye appears and opens up. Then the book jumps over to a page inside. An image slowly shows up. It is an old-fashioned map. The map has great details. On a yellow background, a mainland, called Lona Liemjerata, sits in the lower right corner. A series of interliking waterways and straits surrounded by offshore islands in oceans covers a big portion of the map. “I have never heard of the name, Lona Liemjerata. Don’t you think the mainland has the same shape as our land? ” Frosty says pointing at the map. “Yeah, you’re right!” I remember seeing a pocket atlas. “It may be an old treasure map. The pirate ship, the compass, and the sea creature…” I can’t keep quiet, “does the book try to guide us to hunt for treasures? But why is it called 1031?” Then I hear her say, “Rocca!” I follow Frosty’s eyes to spot on the map. It is a tiny island with a strange shape next to the sea creature. A close examination of its location reveals Rocca is moving, although hardly visible. Frosty looks directly into my eyes. At that moment, we both know, whatever the book’s intent is, the key to solving the mystery may lie in Rocca. The map blurs and disappears. The mainland that we live in is heavily poplulated along the coastal areas. Originally, people made a living by fishing.
