A fair few things differ from the book, and i would say you do need to read the book to understand some of the stuff. Luke Evans is truly amazing, in fact i think his character is better than Tom’s and i wouldn’t be surprised if he gets nominated for a BAFTA. Anyway, onto the bits you all want to hear about: Tom has a beard. It opens with him BBQ’ing the dog (you see a hind leg on a spit roast, paw and all), but anyway TOM WITH BEARD. Its a bit shaggier than Hollow Crown, but YES. Tom in flares, and as the removal men bring his stuff in he zips his fly. Lots of smoking. Dancing scene with 5 air hostesses in the corridor. A combination of Snake Hips and Dad Dancing, but SNAKE HIPS. When that becomes available we are going to gif the fuck out of that bit. He actually grinds against one actresses arse… GRINDS…. Naked sunbathing. Yes, well placed magazine, but you get a side view of him and he is starkers. Lovely smooth hips. Well defined body. PEACHY ARSE. Shower Scene… Wetness… appropriately placed things and turning. Fucking Charlotte (Sienna Miller), you get to see some thrusting and grunting and Sienna has some very pert nipples, but the best bit is when he goes down on her AND YOU HEAR WET SLURPING NOISES. WET. SLURPING. NOISES. Squash with Royal (Jeremy Irons). Small 1970′s shorts that show LOTS OF THIGH. They are not that tight at the front, but you do get a front shot and Tom’s nipples are incredibly pert. Another shower scene. This time from above and a discretely placed showerhead…. Snarkyness at kids party. And brilliant cake serving skills. Sex scene with Helen Wilder. From behind and fully clothed, and if someone hadn’t pointed out that he says ‘come’ i would have missed it. Scene with all the posh people (no Laing) and one of the guests (an actress) shouts out ‘Which of you bastards are going to fuck my arse?’ Laing is now in a shirt, tie, and tight trousers cut/folded at the knee, and gym shoes. He looks very much the public schoolboy. Posh boy fight in supermarket over a can of paint. Think the fight scene from Bridget Jones’s Diary. He does a mental evaluation of Wilder, and makes notes with a blue crayon, and hands Wilder his findings on a scrap of paper at the end. Very surreal! Thats kind of it, the rest is a blur. It was completely fucking amazing. Brilliantly shot, and there were so many laugh out loud moments that completely made it. The film ends with Laing being in charge of all the women in the penthouse.
