I went to see a production of John Gabriel Borkmanat the National Theatre when I was 14, and it was the last time Paul Scofield was on stage,【好像某演员名字，没听出来】And I saw, I was very conscious of an audience of strangers, arriving at the National Theatre after a day of doing whatever they were doing, doing their job, coming from all quarters of the city, to London, to this, the home of the theatre on the south bank, having a drink, catching up, rushing in, taking their seats, the lights going down. And three hours later, the entire theatre sobbing, wiping away the same tears in recognition of the same grief which is universal. and feeling like Paul Scofield particularly had spoken to my own experience and I'd never met him. And I'll always be grateful to him for that.

9.I repeat the advise that was given to me by Pete Postlethwaite over a pint of Guinness when I was 21. I went to see his one man show at the Lyric Hammersmith，with a friend of mine called Andrew Buchan. And It was my first term at drama school and we went to the pub afterwards, he was amazing in it. And there was Pete standing at the bar, and we thought we got to go and say hello. So we told him what we were doing, we just started acting training. And we said, you know, could we buy you a pint? Which he was happy to have. So over a pint of Guinness, he just said: "alright lads, I'll tell you this, don't let the bastards grind you down. "
