Do you often have a glass of milk at breakfast? Cows and goats make most of the world’s milk. But soon, we may drink milk from cockroaches (蟑螂)!
Scientists did many studies on the cockroach. The cockroach mothers grow their babies inside their body. They feed the babies with a kind of liquid (液体). The liquid is like milk. It has lots of protein (蛋白质).
Scientists say the roach milk is three times more nutritious (富含营养的) than cow’s milk. And it is four times more nutritious than buffalo’s (水牛的) milk. It would be great for our body.
But there is a problem: the cockroaches don’t have much milk. So we would have to raise, and kill, a lot of cockroaches to get a little of their milk.
