英文原稿
Human voice is the most powerful instrument we all play.
And yet many people have the experience that when they talk, others don’t listen to them.
Maybe it is because of the“Bad Habits” they have when they talk.
Meet the seven deadly sins of speaking.
These are bad habits that we can all fall into.
1. Gossip. Speaking ill of somebody who's not present.
2. Judging. Telling people what is wrong and what is right without even knowing what is what.
3. Negativity. Who wants to hear a pessimistic talker and his misfortunes all the time?
4. Complaining. Some people complain about the weather, sport, the politics, almost about everything. Complaining is viral misery. It's not spreading sunshine in the world.
5. Excuses. When a problem occurs, some people just pass it on to everybody else and don't take responsibility for their own actions.
6. Exaggeration. It demeans our language because exaggeration can become lying, and we don't want to listen to people who are lying to us.
And finally, dogmatism which is confusion of facts with opinions. When those two things get conflated, you're listening into the wind. You know somebody is bombarding you with their opinions as if they were true.
These are seven deadly sins of speaking we need to avoid.
