The clothes that immediately came to my mind are a T-shirt given to me as a present by my best friend Geoff at my last birthday, which occurred just three months ago. Geoff and I have been friends since senior high school. A very nice person, with a great sense of humor, and always full of jokes.
The T-shirt itself is very simple; it's white in color, made of cotton, and bought on Taobao. What's special about it is that it is customized, which means Geoff made some special requests about it. And it is TRULY special.
On the front, there is a real-size red heart right at where my heart is, and it is bleeding, with a line of words saying: boy without a girl. On the back, there's a printed picture of a cute puppy, saying“buy this single dog”, which is a term we young people without a romantic partner use to describe ourselves. And beside the puppy lies my Wechat QR code, meaning, anyone who's interested in me or who's too bored is welcome to scan my QR code and befriend me on WeChat.
Honestly speaking, I was not particularly surprised at this gift, based on Geoff's track record of tricks. But I was moved by his care and love for me. He really understands me and knows what I want, yes, a girlfriend! Have I worn that T-shirt? Yes, twice so far when we hung out. And there have been some girls, as well as guys, adding me to their contacts, but I'm still looking.
