Mary gave herself a quick spray of perfume, checked herself out one more time in the mirror, and headed outside to wait for the guy.
Mary随随便便喷了点香水，在镜子前面最后再检查了一遍自己，就出门等相亲对象了。
Sure enough after twenty minutes Mary was discreetly checking her watch. After ten more long minutes her phone finally buzzed.
相亲到了20分钟的时候，Mary就小心翼翼地看了看她的手表，又过了十分钟，她的手机终于震动了。
Mary listened for a few seconds, grimly pursed her lips, and turned to her date, "I feel terrible, but my Grandmother is terribly sick, and I must go home now ."
Mary听了几秒钟，担心地皱起了嘴，然后转向了她的相亲对象，“真的不好意思，但是我的祖母现在病的有点厉害，我现在必须要回去了。”
"No problem!" Said her date with a big grin, "in a few more minutes my dog was going to get run over!"
“没关系！”她的相亲对象一边笑着一边说道，“其实再过几分钟我的狗狗就要被车撞了。”
