There we will talk about something interesting, share emotions and listen to music. What's more, the content can improve our enthusiasm for learning English. Today, we will talk about festival. Listen to the melody, the sound of the campus radio service begins broadcasting now. Chinese new year is also known as the spring festival. It lasts 15 days, and it is the most important festival in our calendar, an extraordinary annual event. The start of the festival falls on a different days in either January or February, dictated by the lunar calendar. It contains the richness Chinese culture. 《国家宝藏》里面有一句话：这是个年轻的节目，有多年轻？上下五千年。中华文明源远流长，从未间断。其丰富多彩，如宇宙里繁繁皓星，闪烁在华夏大地上。 春节，一场盛世的聚会，举国上下为之疯狂。那么，关于春节，我们会经历些什么？我们又知道春节里那些传统习俗呢？ Every year in winter, millions of Chinese people set off on the journey home. This time of years sees the largest annual mass migration on the plant, when a six of the world’s population travels home to celebrate with their families. The whole country is on the move, seeing the sights and traveling hone to be with their families. In the station or concourse is full of arriving passengers and waiting families,who is full of anticipation and excitement. It’s surrounded by people who are being met against with their families. There are lovely scene in happening all around here, tiny little dramas of people coming together. 正月初一不能动用扫把，否则会扫走运气，破财。假使非要扫地不可，需从外头扫到里边，到今天许多地方还保存这一习俗，除夕前扫除干净，年初一不出扫帚，不倒垃圾，备一大桶盛废水，当日不外泼，新年里也不可以打碎家具，打碎了是破产的预兆，得赶快说声“岁岁平安”“或落地开花富贵荣华” 大年初二，出家的女儿回娘家，要夫婿同行，所以俗称“应婿日”这一天回娘家的女儿必须携带一些礼品和红包分给娘家的小孩，并且在娘家吃午饭，但必须在晚饭前赶回婆家，在过去一家人也会选择在这一天拍张全家福。 大年初三又称赤狗日，与“赤口”同音，通常不会外出拜年，传说这天容易与人发生口角争执，不过这个习俗早已过时，因为现在人们难得春节团聚，对此已经淡化许多。 大年初四是祭财神的日子，过去，老板想将某人炒鱿鱼，这天就不请他来拜财神，对方也就心知肚明，还有传说说，灶王爷这天要来查户口，因此也就不宜远出。 正月初五俗称破五，要赶五穷，包括智穷，雪穷，文穷，命穷，交穷。人们黎明即起，放鞭炮，打扫卫生。鞭炮从里往外放，边放便往门外走，说是将一切不吉利的东西都轰出去。这天，民间通行的食俗是吃饺子，俗称“捏小人嘴”。天津人破五这一天家家户户都吃饺子，而且菜板要剁的叮咚响，让四邻听见，以示正在剁小人。 年初六，商店酒楼才正式开张营业，而且要大放鞭炮，不亚于除夕的盛况，传说这一天最受欢迎的是年当满十二岁的男孩，因为十二是六的二倍，这叫六六大顺。这一天每家每户要把节日里积存的垃圾扔出去，这叫送穷鬼。 In the first five days of the New Year, we are not supposed to do any cleaning. So before that, the whole house needs to be thoroughly cleaned and everyone in the family gets involved. New Year’s Eve in China is about family and food. We will prepare the most important meal of the year. This is when families get together to eat, drink, and celebrate. Chinese food is as rich and varied as any on earth, with thousands of dishes to choose from, all cooked in a variety of ways. On the table, we must have fish. Because it has the similar pronunciation of extra wealthy, rich. It means every year we have wealth. We have dumpling as well. The shape of dumpling looks like a Chinese golden ingot. We say if you eat more dumplings, you can make more money. In the old time, we used to put a coin inside, so anyone in the family get that one, it means that one get the best luck. We also have chicken, pork, vegetable and so on, they mean a plenty and rich year. In the evening, everywhere is alive with firework and there will be millions of them set of. The fireworks are so loud in order to drive any evil spirits. Children play and play on the ground, the fireworks like the millions of fireflies dancing on the sky. During the spring festival, we usually see the dragon dance. Dragon is god in China. It’s kind and benevolent. It brings all the good things, luck, money, and happiness to people. This is a key part of any Chinese New Year celebration. Traditionally, the dragon was a sigh of strength and power and it was often used by China’s emperors as their own symbol. Its movement in performance must demonstrate its power and dignity. The longer it is, the more luck it will bring the community. During the festival, you’re seeing so much red. Red is a very auspicious colour. It is really the colour of New Year. It means happiness, joy, luck...
