At this moment，the hare saw a big tree on one side of the road．She thought，“The tortoise is so far away behind me．Why not take a rest? I will let him go ahead．Then I can catch up with him in one jump．Everybody will know that I am really fast．”
So，the hare stopped running and jumped toward the big tree．She sat down，closed her eyes，and fell asleep．
