1、be starving
starve作为动词，是饥饿，饿死的意思，to be starving 表示非常饿，是口语中非常实用的表达方式，如果后面再加上 to death 则表示饿得要死啦。

2、could eat a horse

5、can/could eat an ox[ɒks]
可以吃下一头牛，和刚才的吃下一匹马类似，都是比如饿得厉害，想大量吃东西。ox是英文里是公牛，和bull[bʊl]一样的意思。
