介绍:
Today’s book is called “frog and Toad are friends” by Arnold Lobel. Please open your book to page 18. Pause Today we are reading pages 18 and 19 of “Frog and toad are friends.” Follow along with me. “All right,” said Toad. “Let me think of a story to tell you.” Toad thought and thought. But he could not think of a story to tell Frog. “I will go out on the front porch and walk up and down,” said Toad. “Perhaps that will help me to think of a story.” Toad walked up and down on the porch for a long time. But he could not think of a story to tell Frog. Let’s read it again. Today we are learning two new words. They are story and perhaps. Let’s practice saying them first. Repeat after me: Story Story Story Good! A story is something you tell for fun. It can be true or it can be imaginary. Do your parents tell you a story before you go to bed at night? Do you like to read stories in books? Toad is trying to think of a story to tell Frog to help him feel better, but he is having a hard time thinking of one. Repeat the sentence after me: “Let me think of a story to tell you.” “Let me think of a story to tell you.” “Let me think of a story to tell you.” Good. Let’s learn our next word: perhaps. Repeat after me: perhaps Perhaps perhaps Perhaps means maybe. It is used when you just aren’t sure about something. Toad says, “Perhaps that will help me to think of a story.” He isn’t sure, but he thinks that maybe going outside will help him come up with an idea for a story. Repeat after me: “Perhaps that will help me to think of a story.” “Perhaps that will help me to think of a story.” “Perhaps that will help me to think of a story.” Good job! sto•ry1 ˈstôrē/ noun noun: story; plural noun: stories 1.
an account of imaginary or real people and events told for entertainment. per•haps pərˈ(h)aps/ adverb adverb: perhaps used to express uncertainty or possibility.
