What do you do for a living?
I work as an interpreter in a private company. My sole responsibility is helping my boss negotiate trade deals. I've got to say it's quite challenging because if I misspoke, it might cost our company gigantic loss.
Why did you choose that career?
Well, I am good at English and Chinese, so one of my teachers suggested that I should become an interpreter. I remember telling my parents this and they both agreed. Since big companies always need an interpreter to deal with foreign clients, it won't be too difficult to find a job. Plus you can get a handsome salary.
How did you find the job?
Actually, I found this job by chance. I was surfing the net the other day when suddenly the recruitment came up. I was interested in it, so I sent my resume and received a reply soon. Then I got an interview and they gave me the job immediately because they badly needed someone to fill the vacancy.
