Who do you live with?
I live with my parents. We're a nuclear family and I am the only child.
What do your parents do for a living?
My father is an architect and my mother is a teacher who teaches architecture in the University where I am studying. What a coincidence!
Do you have any siblings?
No, not really. I am the only child in my family because of the one-child policy. But I do have many cousins, more than 10 and they are more than cousins to me. They're just like my own brothers and sisters. I suppose we are quite a close-knit family.
Do you get on well with your family?
Yes, we get on pretty well. I love my parents because of their easiness and openness. They never force anything on me. They never take me follow in their footsteps to be a teacher or an architect; instead, they always encourage me to be what I want to be. I really appreciate it.
Do you think you have spent enough time with your family?
No, not really. Now that I am studying in a full time University, I have to stay in the campus during weekdays, so I only have time for my parents on weekends. However, I also get a lot of work and research to do, and friends to hang out with. I don't think I have much time left for my family.
