221b Baker Street
It's one of the most famous addresses in the world: 221 B Baker Street, London. Today it's a museum visited by thousands of people every day.
The first thing to do when you enter is to climb the 17 steps to the study on the first floor. It is furnished just as it was at the time of the great detective. You can see his violin, his pipe, his magnifying glasses and notebook, the famous hat, his chemistry equipment and some of the disguises he wore. If you like, you can sit in his armchair by the fire and have your photograph taken.
Go on up to Dr. Watson's bedroom on the second floor, which contains the doctor's papers about many Holmes' cases and the diary he kept during the adventure of The Hound of the Baskervilles.
If you want more excitement, you'll find it on the third floor, two life-size wax models of Holmes and his arch-enemy Professor Moriarty locked in combat.
