一般的套路是：当你看到朋友或同事心情不太好，你会先走上前去说： Look at you! All looking sad, what's the matter?然后再给个Hug。
所以，在英式英语中，what's the matter？是一句非常常用的、表达对他人关心的问候语。
what's the matter？：你怎么了？出了什么事？
需要注意：what's the matter后面如果加上“with you”变成：What's the matter with you？ 很可能就变成了一句责怪句，意思是：你怎么回事啊？你有毛病啊？
剧中例句：
What’s the matter with you? Have you eaten something that didn’t agree with you?
你怎么回事？是吃了什么你身体不喜欢的东西了吗？（吃坏肚子）
CD例句：
What’s the matter with you. I didn’t do anything wrong!
你到底怎么了？我根本没做错什么啊！
