Batman VS Superman, a movie that the whole world has been anticipating(期待) for possibly decades, turned out to be quite a big disappointment. In reaction to the many requests from you guys asking me to talk about this movie, I'm simply gonna break it down and explain to you why the film was such a failure.
亮点1：小本的蝙蝠侠无可挑剔
I can't say I was totally disappointed. For one thing, Ben Affleck's embodiment(演绎) of Batman was outstanding. I've always liked him and I think he's a terrific actor. You can say whatever you feel about the movie but you can't argue with the fact that this is an incredible Batman that Ben has portrayed(演绎). You can see how much he has invested(投入) in this character and the result is just unbelievable.
亮点2：Wonder Woman很惊艳！
Another pleasant surprise was the introduction of Wonder Woman. The party scene where she and Bruce Wayne sort of acted off of one another(对手戏) was beautifully done. And the way she looks! You can't put a price on that!
亮点3：动作场面很nice
The fighting suquence(动作场面) between Batman and Superman was just breath-taking.
败笔1: 场面有余故事不足
And this is a good place to start my criticism. As gorgous-looking(灰常美) as they are, many of the action scenes were not supported by a strong plotline(情节). A good superhero movie doesn't rest on(依靠) good actions. It's all about good story-telling. The characters, the dialogues, the overall tone. They matter a lot, much more so than the action itself. You can have as many fightings and explosions as you want, but they only serve as plot devices(情节工具), things you use to move the story forward and to better define the characters.
If you've listend to my previous article you guys all know how much I loved the Civil War. The reason why that airport scene was such a success has a lot to do with all the build-up(铺垫) before it. Throughout the film we understand why Tony and Cap are fighting and we get behind(支持) each character for joining their seperate team. So by the time we get to the fighting and we see them beating up one another, we lose our freaking mind: 厚里谢特 this is fantastic!
And this is exactly where BVS failed. The core(核心) of this movie, one thing that it needs to emphasize upon, is to address(解释) the motivation why Superman and Batman fight. In fact in the comic books this was explained very thorough. They fight for different ideologies(思想): Superman believes that bad people should be handed over to the police and brought to justice in court(法庭), while Batman thinks that it is HIS responsbility to punish them himself. This is a wonderful premise(前提基础), but sadly wasn't the case in the movie.
So basically what you end up seeing is Superman's mom gets kidnapped(绑架) by the bad guy and the only way to save her is to kill batman??? This is just so stupid!!! They shouldn't fight because they have to. They should fight because they WANT TO. This was handled so badly.
败笔2：情节超不连贯，伏笔太特么多了
Another huge flaw is that the movie lacks a cohesive and consistent(连贯的) tone to it. You are watching one scene and all of a sudden it just jumps to the next one. You're confused all the time and constantly wondering what the hell is happening. So at a certain point you just get bored and stop caring.
It's sooooo obvious that they are trying to build a cinematic universe(电影大宇宙) for the future films. That's ambitious. But they fail at the most basic level: to tell a good story.
败笔3：反派相当不给力
Also I have something to say about the villain(反派). I've always believed that a superhero film is only as good as the villain(反派好才是真的好). By far my favorite villians of all time are The Joker (The Dark Knight) and Darth Vader(Star Wars). The reason why people love them so much is that despite their craziness we actually feel for(理解) them and understand the reason why they do what they do. That is why Lex Luthor did not work for me because I don't think his motivation has been exposed(解释) clearly.
败笔4：都被预告片毁了！
Last but not least, the one thing that i'm most furious about was the trailer(预告片). Whoever worked on that trailer, should be fired right on the spot!!! It gave us TOO MUCH! Basically if you saw the trailer, you've seen the entire movie. Everything was spoiled(剧透). A good trailer should be one that gets people excited to go to the theater, but at the same time doesn't really tell you so much in terms of the plot.
Finally...
So, do I think BVS was a giant piece of garbage like the Transformers(呵呵)? Absolutely not. Certainly the movie had a lot of strengths. It had the potential to be both financially and critically successul. The reason why it didn't was that those pros(优点) were overshadowed(遮盖) by some huge cons(缺点) with the story and the characteres.
