2. Does It Float？

Does It Float? Winnie the Pooh meets his friends. They are ready for an adventure. Tigger jumps out of the forest. "Let's use my boat!" he says. He puts his boat in the water. Winnie and his friends climb on the boat. Winnie brings a honey pot. Rabbit brings some strawberries. Eeyore brings a big rock. The boat floats on the water. But then it breaks apart. The friends hurry to the shore. "Look!" says Tigger. "Everything is floating on the water." "Not everything," says Eeyore. "I can't find my rock." Eeyore 's rock doesn't float. It's under the water. "What should we do now?" asks Winnie. Roo says,"Let's go to my house! My mom is making cookies." Everybody walks to Roo's house. But the cookies are not ready. "Let's bob for apples!" Tigger says. He tries to get an apple in his mouth. Eeyore sees that apples float on water. Eeyore wants to find something that floats, too. He drops a carrot in the water. But the carrot sinks to the bottom. Kanga comes to the door. She calls Eeyore inside. Kanga pours juice with ice for everybody. Eeyore sees that ice floats. He puts a sugar cube into his glass. It sinks. Eeyore is sad. Why can't he make anything float? The friends finish their snack. They go to look for Christopher Robin. Eeyore sees green leaves and a green frog. They float on the water, too. The friends find Christopher Robin in a boat. "Hello!" Christopher Robin says. He rows back to shore. His boat also floats. Eeyore is sad again. "Nothing I find floats!" he says. Winnie wants to help Eeyore. He sits and thinks. "I know!" Winnie says. "Let's help Eeyore find something that floats." "That's a great idea, Winnie," Christopher Robin says. Everybody runs in different directions. Soon they come back. Roo brings a ball for Eeyore. Piglet brings a feather. Christopher Robin brings some paper boats. Eeyore looks at all the things. "Thank you," he says. "What should I put in the water first? A shoe?" "Look!" says Rabbit. "Eeyore's tail is in the water. And it floats!" Christopher Robin pats Eeyore on the head. "See, Eeyore," he says."Part of you floats!" Eeyore smiles. He is happy. Now he has something that floats, too.
