Sir John Major, in his first keynote speech since the referendum, accused Theresa May's government of failing to spell out the complexity and the risks of the Brexit process. Obstacles are brushed aside as if of no consequence, while opportunities are inflated beyond any reasonable expectation. A little more charm and a lot less cheap rhetoric would do much to protect the interests of the United Kingdom. We'll have reaction to Sir John's speech, as Downing Street insists the Government is determined to make a success of Brexit.
