02. Grand Central. Grand Central in Cambridge is a development being marketed to the parents of students looking to invest and house their children in smart digs. Prices start from £340,000 for a one bedroom apartment.
03. Alice House. A short walk from both Oxford and Oxford Brooks University, Alice House, has 140 studio rooms. Rent starts from £225 per week and includes all utility bills including water, electricity, gas and 100Mb broadband with WiFi and no extra charge.
04. Academic House. For the studious among the undergraduate population, Academic House in Herne Hill, is set in leafy suburbia. It's very secure with a 24-hour helpline, concierge and CCTV. From £191.50 per week.
05. The Gateway. The Gateway in Edinburgh is more like a yuppie pad with its own cinema than student digs. From £158.50 per week.
06. Stay Club. Students at the the Stay Club, Regent's Park, will live in one of the smartest areas in London. Catering specifically for students, the studios have their own kitchenette with large fridge-freezer and hob, a private shower room and double bed. It's just a short stumble from Camden and Primrose Hill.
07. The Water Lane Apartments. The Water Lane Apartments in Bristol are slightly more expensive at £150 per week, with high-specification Corian kitchens, flat-screen TVs, double beds and an onsite cinema.
08. Brook Studios. For close to £150 per week in Birmingham a student can live in leafy Selly Oak in Brook Studios, with a laundry room, bike storage, all mod cons and a gym.
09. Vita Student. Vita Student is a dedicated students complex with prices starting from £123 per week for a self-contained apartment. Not a can of baked beans in sight in Vita Student which comes with a gym, cinema and study rooms.
10. The Picturehouse. The Picturehouse in Exeter is hoping to tap into the bank of mum and dad as students living here will get access to an on-site cinema, work rooms, games room and a private gym for £109 per week.
