Passage8 Chinese On-lookers
As is vividly shown in the drawings, a bored crowd of passers-by appear completely ready to enjoy the fight of two crashed cyclists.
However, they leave the scene bitterly when the incident is solved in a friendly way. Obviously, there is a distorted soul hidden inside the body of those disappointed on-lookers.
It is no surprise that the moral climate of the whole society seems to be on the decline over the years. Some people in our soceity are psychologically dark, for they are always displaying uncivilized behaviours in some instances, and even worse, hold the attitude of laughing at other’s troubles by playing as on-lookers. For expample, when someone is in trouble or when an old man falls on the ground ,they are reluctant to offer a helping hand. How twisted their soul is!
Given all this ,it is our urgent task to build up the spiritual civilization in a harmonious society. We must work together to enrich our spirit, improve our personality, appreciate the concept of honor and disgrace, and to become a civilized person above vulgar interests.
