1. Conversation
A: What are you doing, Kathy?
B: I want to buy a gift for my friend. It is her birthday tomorrow. A: Great. When is your birthday?
B: My birthday is on May 3rd, 1991. When is yours?
A: My birthday is on July 1st. 1978.
B: I will remember it.
2. Objective:

Talking about specific dates:
1st = first
2nd = second 3rd = third
4th = fourth
5th = fifth
6th = sixth
7th = seventh
8th = eighth
9th = ninth
10th = tenth

22nd = twenty second 23rd = twenty third
30th = thirtieth

5. 年份和月份
(1) 年 份 1 读年份时一般分为两个单位来读，前两个数为一个，后两个数为一个: 1949 读 作 :nineteen forty-nine 或 nineteen hundred and forty-nine 2 如果是三位数，先读第一位，再把后两个数合起来读: 253 读 作 :two fifty-three 或 two hundred and fifty-three 3 另外: 2000 读作:two thousand，1902 读作:nineteen hundred and two 或 nineteen o two
(2) 月 份 月份是专有名词，除了少数几个月份外都有缩写形式:
