I love sports and fitness ... particularly fitness
I don't care too much for sports
Do you like fitness?
Do you like to "keep fit"?
What do you do to keep fit?
Weight Training is often called "Lifting Weights"
Like this! This is called a bench press
What is stretching?
Do you ever stretch?
Which of these fitness activities is most popular in China?
Granny Dancing?
Okay ... so let's look at section two
Because each sport and fitness activity is popular with a different age group
Different ages groups: Children. Teens, Young Adults, Middle-Aged People, Older People
This is what aerobics looks like
Things like that ... there is a teacher who leads the class
So the sentence could be: "Aerobics are popular with young adults and middle-aged people."
"Baseball is popular with children and teens."
Bicycling
Those are in-line skates
How about soccer?
Is soccer popular in China?
Is Ping-Pong a sport or a game?
So Section B
We need to figure out which activites we use "Do" for ... which ones we use "Go" for... and which ones we use "Play" for.
play is used with ball sports or competitive games where we play against another person
Do is used for a recreational activity or a non-team sport that does not use a ball.
Go is used with activities that end -ing. We go somewhere to do something.
"non-team sport" and it has no ball
team sport = you do it with a group of people
non-team sport = you do it by yourself
"I Hardly Ever Exercise"
only exercise in the spring and summer and fall
Couch potato is someone who loves to sit and watch TV
Never leaves the Sofa
It's a bad thing!
