Elementary school is grade 1 to 5
Middle school is 6 to 8
High School is 9 to 12
(in the US)
Yeah, so the middle school in China is one year longer than in the US.... generally.

I first studied Chinese when I was in college.
I first studied English when I was in first grade.
Not bad ...
Past tense is not so easy some times.

No, I didn't use to play sports.
In elementary school, I used to ....
So lets look at Question 1
In elementary school, I used to play computer games.
Different than 用
"use to" and "used to" sound very similar when you pronounce them...
So it makes people confused.
So your homework is to read the all the sentences in Section 7...
And then in Section 8 do questions 4, 5, and 6....
Questions 2 and 3 are a little difficult, you can try them if you want to!
I used to be a bad kid, but I'm not anymore.
I used to be a (noun) but I'm not anymore.
(Question 2)
When I was a kid, I used to play soccer.
When I was a kid, I used to play golf.
(Question 3)
Question 4 means: In the past you DIDN'T do something, but now you do.
I didn't use to like candy, but now I do.
I didn't use to enjoy cooking, but now I do.
You might not understand 100% right away
But if you practice a little bit, you will understand.
