Last time we meet, we started Lesson 4
Food from around the world.
We also call it Ethnic Food
Oh it's true ... we did part of Section A..
I think we did the first 2 or 3?
So then I'll ask you the questions, and you give me your own information.
Question 2: Have you ever tried sushi?
Now try to be creative here! Challenge yourself... no simple answer :)
Yes, I have. I ate sushi last week.
That's good .
Yes, I have, but I didn't like it very much. (past tense)
Number 4: Have you ever eaten Mexican food?
Now I haven't, but I'm interested in trying it.
No I haven't, but I'd like to try it because it looks delicious.
No I haven't, I'm not very interested in spicy food.
No I haven't, because I can't find it in my city!
Did you drink any tea this morning?
Okay ... ONE more question, this one is not in the book.
No I didn't. I have never (I've never) drunk coffee in the morning.
The last questions is this:
Did you study any English this weekend?
Yes I did. I previewed the lesson for today.
I previewed today's lesson
Yes I did, I read a lot of English over the weekend, but I didn't preview the lesson for today.
Follow-up questions... that's the point here.
To start, I'm going to ask you a question.
Then you answer, then I'm going to ask you follow up questions.
After that, you can try to do the same to me.
Question 1: Have you ever been to a restaurant you didnt like?
Question 2: Have you ever tried sushi?

After that, you can try to do the same to me
Question 1: Have you ever been to a restaurant you didnt like?
Lots of people get confused
Fries vs. Fried
I don't like fast food because I don't think it's delicious
Question 2: Have you ever been to a restaurant that you loved?
"Friend food"
Yeah, popular restaurants are often very busy, so you must wait for a table.
I went with some friends who grew up with me.
I want you to ask me a question... using the "Presente Perfect" tense or the past tense.
Then ask me follow up questions after my answer.
This type of question->follow-up question really is a good way to practice your grammar.
So the homework is Section 8, 9, and 10
Section 9 is a recipe (食谱)
Section 10 the grammar of recipes
We'll talk about them tomorrow
