I
Green pines and verdant bamboos erect to the sky;
Magpies jump to branches to sing prosperous year.
Even plum blossoms, for rhyming lines, eagerly try,
When poets write their master pieces in cheer.
II
Seeing wild canaries dance on the trees so near,
I feel so happy and relaxed from my heart always.
When the monkey welcomes the rat to the New Year,
I dip river water as ink to chant our happy days.
