Many families will also tune in to watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on TV. This Thanksgiving tradition started in 1924 and takes place every year in New York City. There is music, dancing, and even performances by pop stars. The giant parade floats are fun to watch, and you can even spot your favorite cartoons like SpongeBob and Snoopy!
