第一首诗介绍:
A: Echo, do you know a famous poet named Longfellow?
B:Longfellow, not much but I think one of his poems-- "A Psalm of Life" is the most impressive and famous one for me.
A: Yes, he wrote the poem shortly after completing lectures on German writer Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and was heavily inspired by him. He was also inspired to write it by a heartfelt conversation he had with friend and fellow professor at Harvard University Cornelius Conway Felton;
B: The two had spent an evening "talking of matters, which lie near one's soul:–and how to bear one's self doughtily in Life's battle: and make the best of things". The next day, he wrote "A Psalm of Life".
A: So,welcome contestant No. ? to recite this meaningful poem for us.
B: Warmly welcome.
第二首诗介绍:
B: Humphrey, what's your favorite season?
A: Maybe autumn, because it is not as cold as winner and not as hot as summer.
B: Wow, autumn. I read a poem about autumn before. It's "To Autumn" written by English Romantic poet John Keats .
A: Yes, "To Autumn" is the final work in a group of poems known as Keats's "1819 odes". Although personal problems left him little time to devote to poetry in 1819, he composed "To Autumn" after a walk near Winchester one autumnal evening.
B: Do you want to know more about it? Let's welcome contestant No.? to show us.
第三首诗介绍:
A: Echo, what do you think the most distant way in the world is?
B: Well, I think the most distant way in the world is absolutely the love between the fish and bird.
A: Wow, that's brilliant. You must have read a lot of Tagore's poems, haven't you?
B: Yeah, you got me. That's exactly written by a distinguished Indian poet-- Rabindranath Tagore.
A: Alright, now let's welcome contestant No.... to read "The most distant way in the world" to us.
B: Warmly welcome.
