Cherish
Good afternoon, everyone. It’s really my honor to have an opportunity for this speech. My topic is: If We Cherished Our Life More.
Have you ever thought about what is the most important thing in our life?
Here is an experience of my friend. My friend is a young, pretty girl. Once, a boy loved her deeply, but she didn’t care about him at all. Later, the girl found she fell in love with the boy. Unfortunately, the boy died in a car accident. My friend had a feeling of regret, wishing if only she had told him how much she loved him. What if she had cherished her life more, she would be happier now.
Parents are the people who care us the most in the world, but we often hurt them. When they give their care, we just take it without expressing gratitude. When they want to talk to us, we refuse. When we are angry, we shout at them. Seldom do we cherish the time with them. When they are not around, we begin to miss those cherished memories. What if we cherished those days with parents, we would grow better.
We use WeiChat but we lose our heart. We sit on the train but we miss beautiful views. WeiChat is comfortable, but we use it talk about nonsense. Beauty is everywhere but we lack the sense to observe it. If our spirits are full and always focus on useful things, WeiChat will become a useful weapon. If we had a beautiful mind, we would cherish much beauty in our life.
If we do not cherish our family, how can we grow better? If we do not cherish time, how can we make life meaningful? If we do not cherish life, how can we lead to success? We cannot decide the length of life, but we can decide its breadth. Life belongs to each person only once.
So, cherish family, cherish time, cherish life, and cherish everything beautiful. While we are getting old, we should tell ourselves: I have cherished every moment of my life.
Let’s make our lives happy and meaningful. Thank you!
