The Clumsy Chameleon

The Clumsy Chameleon Carlo the Chameleon was terribly clumsy. This didn’t mean that he dropped things or that he kept falling from branches. There was nothing wrong with his claws at all. No.Carlo was clumsy with his colouring. As you know, chameleons are very clever at changing how they look so that they match what they are sitting on. That way other animals looking for a crunchy chameleon snack can’t see them. But Carlo was clumsy. He didn’t concentrate. When he was sitting on a brown branch,he would suddenly start daydreaming and find that he had become yellow with stars all over his back. When he sat on a big gray rock,he would dream again,and turn into a bright red-and-blue-striped chameleon. “You might just as well yell,Come and eat me!”said his anxious mother, “Really,Carlo,do try to be more careful.”
