In the light of the moon, a little egg lay on a leaf.
在一个月日朦胧的夜晚，一颗小小蛋躺在叶子上睡觉。
One sunday morning, the warm sun came up and POP!-out of the egg,
came a tiny and very hungry caterpillar. He started to look for some food.
在一个周末的早晨，暖洋洋的太阳徐徐升起，从那只白白的蛋中爬出一条细小的毛毛虫，它好饿好饿，开始到处找食物吃啦！
On Monday, he ate through one apple, but he was still hungry.
周一的时候，他吃掉了一个苹果，但是还是觉得饿。
On Tuesday, he ate through two pears, but he was still hungry.
周二的时候，他啃掉了两支梨，但还是觉得饿。
On Wednesday, he ate through three plums, but he was still hungry.
周三的时候，他吃掉了三个蓝梅，但还是没吃饱呢。
On Thursday, he ate through four strawberries, but he was still hungry.
周四的时候，他吞进了四个草莓，但是还是没吃饱。
On Friday, he ate through five oranges, but he was still hungry.
周五的时候，他吃掉了五个桔子，但是还是觉得好饿好饿。
On Saturday, he ate through one piece of chocolate cake, one ice-cream cone, one pickle, one slice of swiss cheese, one slice of salami, one lollipop, one piece of cheery pie, one sausage, one cupcake, and one slice of watermelon.
周六的时候，他连连吞进了一块巧克力蛋糕，一杯冰淇淋，一条腌黄瓜，一块瑞士启司，一根意大利腊肠，一个棒棒糖，一块草莓披萨，一根肉肠，一个小蛋糕，还有一大块西瓜。
That night he had a stomachache!
当天晚上，他觉得肚子疼坏了。
The next day was Sunday again. The caterpillar ate through one nice green leaf,
and after that he felt much better.
在周天的时候，毛毛虫吃进去一片很漂亮的绿叶子，吃完之后他觉得肚子舒服多了。
Now he wasn’t hungry any more—-and he wasn’t a little caterpillar any more.
He was a big , fat caterpillar.
现在啊，毛毛虫再也不饿了，它长成了一条肥肥胖胖的虫子了。
He built a small house called cocoon, around himself. he stayed inside for more than two weeks. Then he nibbled a hole in the cocoon, pushed his way out and ……he was a beautiful butterfly!
毛毛虫建造了一个叫做“茧”的小房子，把它自己裹住。它足足在里面待了两个多星期。尔后，它他破蚕而出，变成一只漂亮的蝴蝶啦！
