This line chart illustrates the different forms of electricity generation in China between 1994 and 2004. There are two main types of electricity: conventional thermal and hydroelectric. As we can see from the graph, electricity generation has been increasing steadily through this decade, starting at approximately 900 billion kilowatt hours in 1994 and rising to over 2000. We can also observe that conventional thermal generation is much more common than hydroelectric power, and accounts for most of the growth.
